This is my go-to orange. I use it in one of my most popular soaps for a contrasting swirl against blue. It incorporates easily, and I don't have to worry about color transfer or chunks of unmixed mica.
I really like this shade of orange.
I’ve used this color 3 times in cold process soap. The color looks so vibrant for a day or two. Then it fades so much. It turns into the palest hint of orange it’s barely discernible.
We’re really sorry to hear the color faded for you...that definitely shouldn’t be happening. This mica has been extremely stable in cold process soap for over ten years, so we’d love to help you troubleshoot and figure out what might be causing the fading in your specific recipe.
A few things like high water content, gel phase, vanilla-containing fragrances, or certain additives can unexpectedly shift colors. If you'd like, feel free to share your process or formula details, we’re more than happy to help you get the vibrant results you’re looking for. Email us.
Worked great for my orange, rhubarb and vanilla soap.
