Blue Moon is a beautiful off-white mica with a bluish-purple sheen when spread onto a surface or used in a clear base (nail polish, clear MP soap, epoxy resin, varnish, etc.)

"Absolutely gorgeous! - I’m obsessed with moonstones and this mica leaves the most beautiful blue glow in and on products. I love it! ❤️"
—Mandi O. (verified)

This is a perfect eye shadow color or use to brush onto the tops of bath bombs, bubble bars, soaps, etc. It reminds us of moonstones and the very cool nail polish we wore as teenagers in the 80s.

You should use this mica in accordance with its intended use

If you're looking to whiten your entire soap, then use TD or Snow White mica instead of this. Otherwise, it'd be a big waste of this mica if you're misusing it. The selling point of this mica is the bluish color that it gives off when viewed at an angle, so if you're using it in a soap base that's going to obstruct light then that defeats the purpose. Best to use it on the finished soap to give it a je-ne-sais-quoi look on the soap's surface, which is what I did.

Otherworldly

This is one of those rare pigments that changes the way I think about color; if I can find a way to work this one in, I will. It shines in resin, and I'm actually loving it applied to slime — if it stretches the right way, an otherwise other color will get a lovely blue sheen. Pick this one up!
