With the sun-shiny yellow of a lemon and the fluffy lightness of a fresh baked lemon cupcake, this happy mica seems to contain actual flecks of the sun.

"A gorgeously bright yellow that will give you anxiety for 24 hours - I love this yellow! It is so happy and bright. Just be willing to wait for it to morph from a deep orange back to happy yellow. The result is quite worth the wait."

Additional Information:

  • Read before you panic! In cold process soap, this mica TURNS ORANGE FIRST but reverts to a beautiful lemon color within 24 hours. It's lovely!
  • Usage rates can be varied to lighten or darken hue. Listed amounts create bright colors with no colored suds.
  • To use in bath bombs or other bath products (water applications), we recommend using polysorbate 80 at a rate of approximately 2% of your total batch weight (dry and wet ingredients). This should allow the color to disperse evenly and eliminate mica from floating on the water's surface or leaving a ring of color around the tub.
  • Sample bags contain approximately one teaspoon.
  • For mica-specific information not available on this page, please consult provided data sheets.
  • Larger sizes are available. Please email colors@madmicas.com for pricing and information.

Do Not Freak Out!

So this mica is gorgeous in cold process soap. It's the perfect happy yellow... not too bright, not too pale. But when you add this to your soap batter, hold on to your safety gear because it's bright orange. And it stays bright orange until the next day! It's kind of like that pop up thing in the turkey... when the swirl turns yellow the soap can come out of the mold!

Pumpkin Patch Soaps

Like all the other colors I use from mad micas this yellow is just stunning and vibrant. Perfect for making any flowers or sunny day soaps.

Such a fun spring and summer color!

This is absolutely my favorite yellow of all time! I was really looking forward to the color morph because I think the science of soap is awesome! The color is perfect every time:)

I Didn’t Read Before Panicking

I used this color in my very first batch of cold process soap. In typical Lanie fashion, I didn’t read the entire description, where it very clearly states that it turns orange before turning yellow, and I threw it out, thinking I had done something wrong.

After using another of their micas in my second batch, I am 100% sure my first batch would’ve been a beautiful lemony perfection, but this is what I get for not doing my homework.

I’m already about to place my second order (getting neons this time!) and I already love this company. Now it’s time to start reading ALL of the descriptions!
