Back when King Tut was just plain ol' Prince Tut, your basic future emperor growing up in Arizona, he thought that one precious metal was pretty much the same as any other.

"Love this color! King Tut is gorgeous dusted onto the tops of my CP soap and is a lovely shimmery gold in my body butters. Will be a staple on my shelf for sure!"
—Sheila T. (verified)

It wasn't until he moved to Babylonia and settled down in a condo made of stone-a that he found the true beauty to be had in pure gold. Soon he was adorned with the finest and purest gold and dancing by the Nile (where ladies loved his style). Seriously: he was rocking for a mile!

At Mad Micas, we've been on a worldwide search for a Tut-quality gold mica, and are proud to say that we have, at last, found it. And thanks to our King Tut, there's no reason to keep getting your hands dirty digging up sarcophagi to get the greatest gold of all. Just add some to your cart and you'll be like Funky Tut in no time.

Additional Information:

  • Usage rates can be varied to lighten or darken hue. Listed amounts create bright colors with no colored suds.
  • To use in bath bombs or other bath products (water applications), we recommend using polysorbate 80 at a rate of approximately 2% of your total batch weight (dry and wet ingredients). This should allow the color to disperse evenly and eliminate mica from floating on the water's surface or leaving a ring of color around the tub.
  • Sample bags contain approximately one teaspoon.
  • For mica-specific information not available on this page, please consult provided data sheets.
  • Larger sizes are available. Please email colors@madmicas.com for pricing and information.

Good as gold

Beautiful gold color and just the right amount of shine to make it pop without seeming like there's a pack of glitter inside

It's pure gold!

This is a definite go-to "pure" gold even more than what it seems in the picture. It is great for mica lines and for the tops of soap as a gold dust. It doesn't hold all it's shimmery beauty in cp soap but is more shimmery than others alike.
